Use the Game Stage shown in the player screen when available. The fallback estimate uses level, current day and a simple death penalty.

What changes horde pressure?

Game Stage, party size, Blood Moon enemy count, night length and difficulty shape the modeled pressure. Accuracy and trap share then convert that pressure into a practical ammunition reserve.

Why can total kills exceed the active enemy count?

The active cap limits enemies alive at once. New waves replace defeated enemies during the night.

How much spare ammunition should I carry?

The displayed range already includes a safety margin. Add more for automatic weapons, modded enemies or an untested base route.
